Drifting to Glory

This is a novel of the author's great-grandfather's experiences during the Civil War as a member of the "Bucktail" Regt., Army of The Potomac." It involves recruitment and training, battles engaged in, and the everyday life of the common soldier.

The story is based on fact and includes the off duty activities, hopes and frustrations of the men as seen through the eyes of the protagonist.

It outlines the futility of war, especially combat against one's own countrymen.
