This first supplement to the "Catalogue of the Goldsmiths's Library" contains the additions to the collection made since the publication of volume 3.

It maintains the high standards of bibliographical scholarship of the former volumes and presents entries by date and subject; it includes its own index.

A significant number of important additions has been made.

These reflect the range of the literature of economics in Europe in the 17th to 19th centuries.

Volume 5 will take its place alongside its predecessors as a bibliographical tool and an introduction to one the major resources in the field of economic literature.
