Secrets in Istanbul : or The Kara Sevda Secret

Leaving a hard life in Wales in 1919, Martha finds herself in Liverpool, where she meets and marries a handsome army captain. With the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, they are sent to Constantinople, where her passion for a young Turk ends in infidelity.

Disaster strikes twice and drives her back to England, where she sets up a tea house in Yorkshire and raises her son. Her secret Kara Sevda, is only discovered many years later, when her son, an RAF pilot in WWII, has a chance meeting in Turkey and the truth unfolds.
