Michael, an elderly man, is slowly going mad, because his Thai wife of eighteen years was refused a visa at the border and repatriated. He entered his homeland alone hoping to be able to 'get her in from the inside'. The chances are slim, and he sinks ever deeper into despair, even sleeping on the beach to save money. In truth, he starts to lose his mind with worry and loneliness.
