Aluna lives around the year 6,200 BC in the region that is now called Doggerland.

This is a large wetland region, teeming with wildlife and rich in resources.

Now we call it the North Sea. She has dark skin, black hair, and blue eyes. She lives with her father in a small, nomadic hunter-gatherer community that is surprisingly sophisticated.

Life takes a dramatic turn when spring comes much earlier than expected, temperatures go up, the water starts rising, and erratic tsunami waves destroy their habitat. And is that mysterious tattoo of concentric circles on her arm somehow linked to the red ochre marker stones and rock art in the landscape?

In this stone-age adventure, the author puts forward a new, unfalsified theory about the origins of Atlantis, arguably the most cautionary tale in the history of humanity. I.A.C.S. Lietaert has a keen interest in storytelling, ancient visual arts, and a fascination for stone-age culture.

After studying literary theory and comparative literature, he's reconnecting the cautionary tales of the ancients to the 21st century's issues, such as global warming.
