INTRODUCTION Health is the greatest gift and contentment is the greatest wealth. Everyone has a natural wish to live healthy. According to World Health Organization health is defined as "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". A healthy person is free from mental as well as physical illness, cope with every day activities and have high quality of life. Before 1955 the infectious diseases e.g. Tuberculosis, typhoid etc. are the leading cause of death, but due to vaccination and medication the death rate and disease rate is under control. After World War II the advanced technologies can change the lifestyle and increased the competition, which gives extra burden and pressure to human being which increases productivity and decreases leisure time, lacks healthy communication which creates unhealthy lifestyle. In current years lifestyle diseases like CVD and cancer are the major causes of death worldwide. The causes of lifestyle diseases are mainly psychological factors such as stress, anxiety, anger, hostility, depression etc. and the habits developed by the psychological factors e.g. smoking, tobacco chewing, drinking, lack of exercise, unhealthy food habits etc. stress is a major culprit for psycho physiological diseases like CVD. Stress is nothing but a pressure and force which strain our physical and mental tension. Person to person the effects of stress are different. Some sort of stress is necessary to motivate us towards the work and increase the productivity. If the stress is chronic we are suppose to pay the toll the chronic stress.
