This report evaluates the safety, for human consumption, of food residues of 13 veterinary drugs: two anthelminthic agents (moxidectin and tiabendazole), eight antimicrobial agents (ceftiofur, danofloxacin, dihydrostreptomycin, streptomycin, enrofloxacin, flumequine, gentamicin and spiramycin), one glucocorticosteroid (dexamethasone), and two insecticides (cyfluthrin and fluazuron).

Methodological issues discussed include standards for the performance of studies used in safety assessments, principles for assessing risks posed by residues at the injection site, and several initiatives to promote transparency of the process used by the Committee to set maximum residue limits.
